Hey there! Today I’m introducing a new column, which I have yet to come up with a witty name for but nevertheless, I’m oh-so-excited! When I was brainstorming ideas and topics for this blog, I thought of writing some posts to sort of introduce myself, a get to know me type of thing. However, after a few weeks of blogging, I realized that I needed a way to incorporate more design into this blog. I’ve posted mainly about scrapbooking and though I love scrapbooking and think it keeps me on my creative toes, I’m also a graphic designer. As a designer, I think it’s really important to continually create and challenge yourself (more on that later this week). Henceforth the new column – It’s essentially a design challenge inspired by snippets of myself in hopes to connect and relate with others.
First up, I was born and raised in Minnesota. You betcha, I have a little bit of Minnesota Nice instilled in me. When I was growing up I didn’t think much of Minnesota. I was always dreaming about moving to a more exciting (and warmer) state. Fast forward a few years and now I’m choosing to live in Minnesota and I love it. Call me crazy for enduring the long, below-freezing winters, but this place is home. It always warms up in April, er Mid-May, anyways, just in time to head out onto one of the 10, 000 lakes.
P.S. I got a little distracted my these Are You MN Enough? videos. I can definitely relate to too many of these.
