I hope you all had a quite, relaxing holiday filled with love and cheer. I didn’t snap too many photo this year as I wanted to enjoy the moment in front of rather than behind a lens. However, I did manage to snap a few photos of one of my favorite Christmas traditions – wrapping presents! Though I don’t believe that presents are the reason for the season, I do believe in making someone feel special. Giving gifts is more than following a consumer culture for me, rather it’s a way of showing love and spreading cheer, so I try to purchase for those on my list something meaningful or special. In addition, wrapping presents is a time of gratefulness for me. While folding and taping, and sometimes, yes, hot glueing, I think of why this person holds a dear place in my heart or of the significance they have played in my life. A little deep for something that gets torn up in a few seconds? Maybe…but we all know the holidays go by in a blink of an eye, so I think, why not savor it as much as we can, eh?
How about you – how was your Christmas?
