This week I was really shooting for simplicity. Reason number one being that I really need to catch up on Project Life. Little by little I will get caught up to current weeks…hopefully, right?
I really love leaving some pockets blank, but I realized that once the next week comes in it will show through. Not exactly what I had planned there. Fear not, I think I developed a plan so that only white will show through. If that doesn’t work, I have a plan B. Does anyone else use blank pockets? How do you keep the next week from showing through or doesn’t it bother you?
I spoke last week about incorporating more hidden journaling and this week it was a success! Inside the coffee sleeve – yay!
I absolutely love that sticker from Carta Bella, especially the unique shape and the typography. So good! I think these two colors + the photo of my pops playing Scrabble + that sticker make this part my favorite of spread this week.
That floral paper is from Carta Bella too. Seriously, I don’t think my love for florals and mustard is going anywhere. I had to chuckle to myself when I used the typewriter sticker from Heidi Swapp to correlate with the photo of texts from my friends. I love the juxtaposition. Speaking of the photo of the texts, I wasn’t liking the colors from the screenshot of my phone, so I put some vellum over the pocket and stapled it. To see the photo, all you have to do is lift the vellum and wha-la, there’s the photo (which is inside the pocket).
Lots of goodness going on at Two Peas in a Bucket. Their exclusives are so great and their prices aren’t too shabby either.
Final results. I really tried to concentrate on the color palette, keeping simplicity, and letting the photos telling the story. On to week three…
